November
LET US PRAY
The month of November remains in Ordinary Time (green) until the 22nd when we celebrate the Feast of Christ the King (white).
Then November 29th marks the beginning of the Season of Advent (violet/blue). So you have a nice variety to choose from when it comes to your prayer space.
All Saint’s Day on November 1 calls us to remember the holy women and men who have gone before us. Our prayer table can reflect this with pictures of our ancestors whose lives impacted our family character today.
Thanksgiving Day (November 26) is a national holiday that calls us to reflect more deeply on all the wonderful blessings God has bestowed upon us. It, also, reminds us that there was a time in our nation’s history when Americans were proud to profess our belief as a nation in the one true God.
NOVEMBER PRAYER
God, our Father
source of all holiness,
the work of your hands is manifest in your saints,
the beauty of your truth is reflected in their faith.
May we who aspire to have part in their lives,
so that having shared their faith on earth,
we may also know their peace in your kingdom.
Grant this through Christ, our Lord.
