Dear Parents,

     Welcome to the new catechetical year. A Parent Handbook is available to provide a general overview of the catechetical programs at our parish for children Pre-K-8. If you do not receive one at registration, please stop by the Religious Education Center and request one.
     Since this time last year, three major textbook publishers-RCL, Silver Burdett and Ginn-Benzinger-have merged. Because of this merger, the costs for textbooks are now non-competitive. This has cause our cost per textbook to almost double over previous years. Therefor, we need to ask you to pay a $10 per student book fee. Even with this additional cost, our tuition is still lower than most of the neighboring parishes. As usual, you are not asked to pay the total amount at registration. The payment can be spread out over the year. We will send out statements several times a year.
     Preparation for 1st Reconciliation, 1st Eucharist, and Confirmation are two year processes at Our Lady of the Lakes. Please share this information with friends or family members. If your child has special circumstances, please contact the Religious Education Center.
     Our role is to assist you in passing on the Catholic Faith to your child. We rely on you to ensure an active sacramental life and daily Gospel living as well as assisting your child in the memorization of prayers and catechetical formulas.
     Please remember that children in grades Pre-K-5 must be signed in and out of class. You can sign a waiver giving your older children permission to sign themselves out of class. This allows us to better protect your children while they are in our care.
